How long do I have to wait for my books?

Books will ship Monday through Friday.  For book distribution check campus schedules. The books will be distributed at a specific location on campus.  

What if I requested home shipment and did not receive it at home?
If you are on clearance your package will not be sent to your home address.  Clearance orders will be shipped directly to your home campus. 

Is my information safe during the online transaction?

The Online Bookstore uses a great deal of security to keep your information private. We have the site secured by VeriSign, which uses the SSL layer (Secured Socket Layer) that keeps the information safe within the firewall, so any other user cannot track the information you give us.  Also, the Online Bookstore will not use any information given to us for anything other than your transaction. The E-bookstore is PCI Compliant.

How much is shipping and handling? 

Shipping and handling during weeks 7 - 9  for your first order of books is free to either home or campus. Any additional shipments during or after this time frame will incur a shipping cost.  

Why is there a shipping charge for my order during weeks 7-9 if it is free during that time frame?

A shipping charge is automatically added to every order you place with the E-bookstore. The shipping charge will be waived when we process your order through our payment terminal. The shipping charge will only be waived if the order is placed during weeks 7-9.

What if the books are lost during shipping?

Each shipment will be insured by the Online Bookstore thru UPS. This protects the customer from lost packages and damaged goods. In the event that one of these things occurs, the Online Bookstore will be able to reissue the goods, but UPS will incur the cost of the lost package(s) and the new package that is being shipped. The RMU E-bookstore will handle the UPS package claim.

How can I pay for my books online?

There are five ways to pay online. There are Visa/MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Student Account and a Gift Certificate. Each order will be pulled from the website and be charged through the payment terminal in the Chicago campus. The E-Bookstore is PCI Compliant.

 What if the items I ordered are not available?

We will notify any student via mail if there happens to be a discrepancy with the ordered merchandise. We will gladly refund the items if they are no longer in stock.

What if I choose to pick up my books at a campus with a bookstore?

Take your valid student ID and registration form to the closest campus. If you are on clearance you will not be allowed to charge your books to your student account.

Currently, the Bookstore Online is best experienced with Netscape 4.7+ and Microsoft Internet Explorer 5+.

Prices and availability of textbooks/supplies/course related materials are subject to change. The Bookstore staff will always strive to fulfill your order in a timely manner, all orders placed during weeks 1 and 2 may take up to 4 days to process and ship your order.
